Farmers since 1900
Wine growers since 1927
The Drocco family are the owners of a small farm in the "Vaj", a small hamlet of Rodello, for generations. In 1937 Agostino Drocco, Renzo's father, began to cultivate the vine as the main crop. Dolcetto was the main production, an ancient red grape from Langhe, whose name comes from the morphology of the land on which it is grown: "small bumps" in local dialect "dùset". A typical dry red wine is obtained from Dolcetto: it takes the same name of the grape and with the acquisition of the DOC becomes “Dolcetto d'Alba.” It was only from the early 1980s that the first vineyards with white grapes were planted: Arneis, Favorita and Chardonnay became part of the Company's crops.

Today the company still maintains its family-run character: the entire production cycle of the grapes and wines, from the countryside to the work of the cellar, is entirely carried out by Renzo and his family.
